  On 13 March, 2024, CSRC Chairman WU Qing met with Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission Chairman Mr. Tim LUI and Chief Executive Officer Ms. Julia LEUNG in Beijing. They discussed issues including the recent capital market developments in the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong, as well as the progress of relevant cooperation schemes. They acknowledged the significance to consolidate and promote Hong Kong’s status as an international financial center, and agreed to strengthen the pragmatic capital market cooperation and cross-boundary enforcement cooperation between the Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong, to promote complementary and coordinated development of the two markets.
