On September 25th, 2025, CSRC Vice Chairman Li Chao and Ms. Samantha Barrass, Chief Executive of the Financial Markets Authority (FMA) of New Zealand, on behalf of the two authorities respectively, signed the amended Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Regarding Securities and Futures Regulatory Cooperation in Auckland, New Zealand, marking a new stage of the cooperation between securities and futures regulatory authorities of the two countries.
Over the years, the CSRC has been actively collaborating with the FMA to create a sound regulatory environment for bilateral capital market cooperation. Considering the development of capital markets and the demand of cross-border cooperation, both authorities amended the Memorandum of Understanding regarding securities and futures regulatory cooperation signed in 2004, which has great significance to further enhancing the regulatory cooperation for capital markets of both countries. So far, the CSRC has signed bilateral memorandums of understanding regarding regulatory cooperation with securities and futures regulatory authorities from 67 countries or regions to establish smooth cross-border regulatory and enforcement cooperative mechanisms.
