Chairman Wu Qing Visited Financial Regulatory Counterparts in France and Brazil and Met with Representatives of International Institutional Investors

From 10 to 13 November, 2025 (local time), CSRC Chairman WU Qing visited Paris, France and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. During the visit, he held bilateral meetings with Ms. Marie-Anne Barbat-Layani, Chair of the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF), as well as Mr. Otto Lobo, Acting Chair, and Ms. Marina Copola, Commissioner of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Brazil (CVM). The discussions covered recent regulatory developments in the French, EU, and Brazilian securities markets, and initiatives to further deepen practical bilateral cooperation in capital markets.
During his visits to France and Brazil, Chairman Wu also met with representatives of international institutional investors, including Société Générale, BNP Paribas, Barclays, UBS, and Pictet Group, as well as Chinese enterprises and financial institutions present in the two countries. He updated the audience on the guiding principles of the recently concluded fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and highlighted investment opportunities in China’s capital market. He also solicited views and suggestions from international institutional investors and Chinese business representatives on furthering the high-level opening-up of China’s capital market.
